Construction is nearing completion on Atlas, a 24-story residential building at 270 Johnston Avenue in Jersey City’s Bergen-Lafayette neighborhood. Designed by MHS Architecture and developed by Alpine Residential and Fields Grade, the structure will yield 169 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with interiors by GRT Architecture. Many of the homes will feature private balconies with views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline.

Amenities at Atlas include a 24-hour concierge, a fitness center, coworking spaces, and a rooftop Sky Lounge with panoramic views of Manhattan. Additional offerings include on-site parking, bike storage, and TULU, an on-demand rental store. The ground-level retail space will house a bagel café.
Apartments will offer wide-plank flooring, custom closets, in-unit washers and dryers, smart locks, quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, and appointed bathrooms. In addition, the project will showcase local Jersey City artists’ graffiti-inspired artwork, celebrating the immigrant experience in contemporary American art.

Bergen-Lafayette is known for its neighborhood feel, vibrant art scene, and connectivity to downtown and Manhattan through light rail and ferry service. Residents will be located steps from stops for the 6 bus line and the Liberty State Park Station for New Jersey Transit, which services the Hudson-Bergen Train. Liberty State Park is located next door to the property, offering open space and a waterfront promenade.
