Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 862 55th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Located between 8th and 9th Avenues, the lot is near the 8th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Li Lan Liao is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 10,718 square feet, with 7,109 square feet designated for residential space and 3,608 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 10 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 710 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 35-foot-long rear yard.
Jonathan Chin of Indetail Architectural and Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This on was butchered a long time ago so hopefully this will be an improvement.
Unlikely. It is most likely going to be one of the typical Chinese buildings with the diamond design on the parapet.
Well, if you think it looks butchered now, just wait until it turns into a five story monstrosity.
The W train does not go into Brooklyn. Why do you constantly get this incorrect?
