The tallest residential building on Manhattan’s East Side, Sutton Tower, recently released new pricing. Developed by Gamma Real Estate and JVP Management and designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen, the 850-foot-tall tower at 430 East 58th Street comprises 120 homes and an extensive amenity package. Pricing for current availability now begins at $1.840 million.
“Sutton Tower is a one-of-a-kind property offering the sought-after combination that today’s buyers are seeking: timeless, elegantly designed homes at attractive price points in a complete, full-service condominium,” said Van Nguyen of JVP Management. “This building introduces a level of craftsmanship rarely found in new development and it, coupled with the new pricing, is resonating with buyers as we continue creating opportunities in today’s market.”
The exterior of Sutton Tower incorporates glass within an intricately carved Bavarian limestone façade. The building’s base fits in with the existing historic architecture of Sutton Place, and transitions to larger glass windows as it scales. All Sutton Tower residences have corner floor plans with a minimum of two exposures, ranging from one to five bedrooms. Select full-floor and duplex penthouse residences offer south-facing outdoor loggias with views of the East River waterfront, Manhattan skyline, and New York Harbor.
Also notable is the intimate 24-hour lobby with a doorman and concierge, hand-carved stone sculpture, The Drop, designed by Juul-Hansen, as well as the double-height atrium that overlooks a 1,300-square-foot Sculpture Garden with Reflection Pool.
All residences have ceilings spanning from approximately 10 to over 15 feet, expansive windows, and wide-plank solid oak floors. Primary bathrooms are finished with marble slab walls, radiant-heated floors, Italian custom-crafted lacquer vanities, vanity and sinks carved from a single block of Bianco Dolomiti, Laufen soaking tubs, and Waterworks polished chrome fixtures. Kitchens come equipped with Italian custom-crafted matte lacquer white cabinetry, Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer and wine refrigerator, Wolf oven and cooktop with vented hood, and Dornbracht Tara Ultra polished chrome fixtures.
Residential amenities, also designed by Juul-Hansen, encompass 22,000 square feet across five floors above ground with ceiling heights up to 15 feet. Residents have access to a skylit club lounge with an outdoor terrace; screening room with custom sofas, wet bar and cinema-level audio-visual system; formal dining room seating up to 14 and adjacent chef’s kitchen; a library; game room; children’s playroom; casual dining lounge; and sports simulator. Health and wellness spaces include a 50-foot swimming pool; whirlpool; spa treatment room, infrared saunas, showers and changing rooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with boxing and movement studios.

The Massingill Tower – “ is a one-of-a-kind property offering the sought-after combination that today’s buyers are seeking: timeless, elegantly designed homes at attractive price points in a complete, full-service condominium,”
This building looks decent but is situated in a neighborhood where the price is too steep. I bet their sales aren’t doing well at their initial offering prices so they’re slashing them.
I have to say the building fits so seamless into the Sutton neighborhood, I had to look at the night time photo TWICE to find it?!
🤔🤣
Wow that’s a small pool.
…after a while, you just run out of wealthy people to sell these places to!
..but over-building on the high end of the market is most likely going to benefit everyone except the developers of these super-fancy towers.
The views are amazing in every direction because the tower is so much taller than everything else around it.
Yes, the apartments have been on the market for almost a year. The one bedroom at $1.8m is shockingly small. Even the larger apartments have a terribly small combined living/dining/kitchen room. The full floor penthouse is quite stunning, and available.
When a column must be placed within a swimming pool, you know too much has been forced into this property. With new pricing, even the wealthy like a “bargain” if they can be found.
When the payment has been made, comfort will come in the way that the residents desire. The aerial view is amazing: Thanks.
