Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 1 Wadsworth Terrace in Fort George, Manhattan. Located between West 188th Street and West 189th Street, the lot is near the 191st Street subway station, serviced by the 1 train. Nathan Silverman is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 49,566 square feet designated for community facility space. The building will have 200 residences, as well as adult health care facility and an ambulatory diagnostic and treatment facility. The concrete-based structure will also have multiple cellar levels and 11 enclosed parking spaces.

H2M Architects + Engineers is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. This site was really ideal for a taller tower. Instead zoning limits this to be short and an architect has been hired from LI with a nonexistent city portfolio. Great.

  2. Thank you for finally getting the neighborhood right. Although everyone insists on calling this Washington Heights, it is on a completely separate hill East of Broadway, and is correctly known as Fort George Hill. Although it contains Yeshiva University, it is largely Dominican, and much lower in income than Washington Heights, on its own hill West of Broadway. Just as Washington Heights has a Fort Washington Avenue, Fort George has a Fort George Avenue.

    Both start at 181st. Street and run until their hill runs down into Dyckman Street. North of that in Inwood.
