The affordable housing lottery has launched for Lighthouse Point, a 12-story residential building at 5 Bay Street in St. George, Staten Island. Designed by Cooper Carry Architects and developed by Triangle Equities, the the structure yields 115 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 30 units for residents at 40 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $33,875 to $218,010.
Amenities include a pet-friendly policy, gym, parking bike storage, babysitting and afterschool services, and outdoor terraces including a rooftop terrace. Residences come with recessed lighting, stainless steel and chrome kitchen appliances, laundry in unit, and dishwashers. Tenants are responsible for household electricity.
At 40 percent of the AMI, there are six studios with a monthly rent of $903 for incomes ranging from $33,875 to $49,720; and six one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $961 for incomes ranging from $36,275 to $55,920.
At 60 percent of the AMI, there are 11 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,411 for incomes ranging from $51,703 to $83,880; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $1,682 for incomes ranging from $62,058 to $100,620.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are six two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $4,001 for incomes ranging from $137,178 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than January 16, 2025.
