Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 2911 Avenue D in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between East 29th Street and Nostrand Avenue, the lot is one block north of the Newkirk Av-Little Haiti subway station, served by the 2 and 5 trains. Shlomy Zimmerman of Brightstone Property Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 56-foot-tall development will yield 4,604 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have eight residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 575 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Mohammad Ahead, PE is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
