Permits have been filed for a five-story shelter building at 118-08 Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill, Queens. Located between 118th Street and Lefferts Boulevard, the lot is near the 121st Street subway station, served by the J and Z trains. Gunnveet Sandhu is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 50-foot-tall development will yield 12,407 square feet designated for community facility space. The building will have 129 beds, sponsored by the Department of Health Services. The concrete-based structure will also have two cellar levels and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Michael Kang Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
