Permits have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building at 556 Howard Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located between Pitkin Avenue and Eastern Parkway, the lot is closest to the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road subway station, served by the 3 train. Olson Max is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 53-foot-tall development will yield 22,433 square feet, with 16,819 square feet designated for residential space and 5,614 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 28 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 600 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 20-foot-long rear yard.
Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in May for the two-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
