The affordable housing lottery has launched for The Hana, a five-story mixed-use building at 45–10 215th Place in Bayside, Queens. Designed by Gerald J. Caliendo Architect and developed by Woodland Developments under the Dakota United Group LLC, the structure yields 34 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 12 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $106,320 to $227,500.

Amenities include a gym, rooftop terrace, storage, bike storage lockers, and parking. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including stove and heat.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are six studios with a monthly rent of $2,974 for incomes ranging from $106,320 to $168,480; five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,084 for incomes ranging from $110,743 to $189,540; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $3,380 for incomes ranging from $122,538 to $227,500.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than January 29, 2026.

    I use a Korean pharmacy and was told “Hana” means “number one.” The building stands on busy Northern Blvd. and is not the most sedate location.
