Permits have been filed for a 14-story residential building at 139 Van Siclen Avenue in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. Located between Atlantic Avenue and Fulton Street, the lot is steps from the Van Siclen Avenue subway station, served by the J and Z trains. Robert Dadona of Rocklyn Asset Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 145-foot-tall development will yield 170,535 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 157 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,086 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and seven open parking spaces.

Guido Hartray of Marvel is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. The St. Malachy’s buildings are garbage and Marvel is a good firm so I think this will be a big improvement. As an aside, the new build across the street is pretty ghastly up close and has EIFS painted to look like brick.

    Hopefully the next new developments will be the McDonalds & Mobil station across Atlantic.
