Construction has topped out on Majestic, a ten-story mixed-use residential building at 540 Degraw Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Developed by The Domain Companies and designed by Handel Architects, the project will yield 255 rental apartments, approximately 14,000 square feet of retail and office space, and 45 enclosed parking spaces. The development team includes GoodRich Design as interior designer and Future Green Studio as landscape architect. Majestic is targeting LEED Gold certification.
The property occupies a through-block site bounded by Degraw Street, Sackett Street, and Nevins Street, several blocks east of the Gowanus Canal. Exterior work is currently underway.

Majestic will contain a mix of studio to three-bedroom residences, with 25 percent of the units designated as affordable housing. Apartments will feature condo-style finishes and layouts.
A double-height attended lobby will anchor the main entrance beneath a glass canopy framed by a red brick façade. Amenities will include a coworking lounge, private dining room, game room, golf simulator, pet spa, indoor-outdoor fitness center, children’s playroom, package storage facilities, bicycle parking, and a 45-car parking garage. There will also be a landscaped interior courtyard garden, and rooftop terrace equipped with grilling stations, dining areas, and lounge seating.

Majestic is located within walking distance of the Union Street subway station, served by the R train along Fourth Avenue.
Completion is anticipated in 2027.
