Construction is underway at 70 Westchester Avenue, the site of a ten-story mixed-use residential complex in White Plains, New York. Designed by Design Development and developed in a joint venture between Cord Meyer Development and Saber Real Estate North, the approximately 331,691-square-foot project will yield 203 units. The development will also include 9,600 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and a 266-vehicle parking garage with EV chargers. The property is located between South Broadway and Bloomingdale Road, directly across from The Westchester shopping center.

The building will also feature a stack of curved balconies. The commercial podium will feature floor-to-ceiling glass and a rounded corner at the intersection of Westchester Avenue. A new road will lead north into the complex.

Homes will be divided into 34 studios, 112 one-bedrooms, and 57 two-bedrooms. The apartments will come fitted with full appliance packages, quartz countertops, and high-quality kitchen and bath finishes. Residential amenities will include a swimming pool, a rooftop terrace, a fitness center, coworking spaces, a dog-walking area, and a pet spa.

70 Westchester Avenue received support from the County of Westchester IDA, which approved economic development incentives to expand local housing opportunities and promote local jobs and employment in White Plains. The developers secured a $96 million first mortgage construction loan from ACRES in January to finance the complex.

“This groundbreaking at one of Westchester County’s most visible and accessible locations and entry to the city marks an exciting new chapter for Cord Meyer Development,” said Danielle Molaison, vice president of development at Cord Meyer Development. “While our roots are in Queens, our mission has always been to create exceptional housing options that enhance the communities they serve. We’re proud to bring that experience to White Plains and to begin construction on a project that we believe will make a lasting contribution to the city.”

The property offers immediate access to Interstate 287.

Work broke ground on June 30. 70 Westchester Avenue’s anticipated completion date is slated for early 2028.
