New permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 643 Midwood Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Albany Avenue and Troy Avenue, the interior lot is near the Sterling Street subway station, served by the 2 and 5 trains. Spencer Developers Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 14,133 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 16 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 883 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and one enclosed parking space.
Oleg Ruditser of Engineering Professional Service is listed as the architect of record. Mark Jankovits under the 643 Midwood LLC previously filed permits for a 15,493-square-foot, 21-unit structure at the site in 2020, but these plans never materialized.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
