The affordable housing lottery has launched for The Milano, an 11-story mixed-use building at 1832 Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by JFA Architects and Engineers and developed by Jacob Landau and Pinches Abowitz, the structure yields 213 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 65 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,126 to $198,510.

Amenities include pet-friendly policies, a shared laundry room, laundry service, elevator, and a rooftop terrace. Residences are equipped with name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity with stove and heat. Hot water is included in the rent.

At 70 percent of the AMI, there are four studios with a monthly rent of $1,819 for incomes ranging from $68,126 to $94,990, and 18 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,936 for incomes ranging from $72,960 to $106,890.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there are six studios with a monthly rent of $2,103 for incomes ranging from $77,863 to $108,560; and 23 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,240 for incomes ranging from $83,383 to $122,160; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,662 for incomes ranging from $100,115 to $146,560.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are three studios with a monthly rent of $2,599 for incomes ranging from $94,869 to $176,410, and ten one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,699 for incomes ranging from $99,120 to $198,510.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than October 23, 2026.
