The eatery is hidden beneath the tower in a secluded section of Grand Central Terminal and features a minimalist design in stark contrast with the buzzing transportation hub just feet above.
SL Green has revealed the first images of Jōji, a hidden Omakase-style restaurant beneath supertall office tower One Vanderbilt in Midtown, Manhattan. The venue’s culinary program will be led by sushi master chef George Ruan and Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud.
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, New York City’s fifth public high-rise observatory, officially opened to the public yesterday afternoon at 1:00 PM. A group of SL Green Realty executives, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt creators, One Vanderbilt partners, and New York City leaders gathered atop the 91st floor of the 65,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor venue earlier yesterday morning to give speeches and cut a ceremonial ribbon before the first visitors arrived.
Danny Meyer’s latest culinary outpost will debut this week at SUMMIT, the observatory venue atop One Vanderbilt in Midtown, Manhattan. Known as APRÈS, the café and bar is perched 1,100 feet above ground and includes an indoor lounge and an outdoor terrace with sweeping views of the city skyline.
UliPath, a global automation software company, is the latest tenant to set up shop at One Vanderbilt, one of the most coveted commercial office towers in Midtown, Manhattan. SL Green Realty, Manhattan’s largest office landlord, closed on the 15-year full-floor lease at the end of September.
