Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 321 Franklin Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is six blocks away from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the G. Citi General Hardware will be responsible for the development.
Back in May of 2015, YIMBY first reported on plans for a new residential development at 1127 Willoughby Avenue, between Knickerbocker and Wilson avenues, in Bushwick. While that information was accompanied by architect drawings, we now have the first actual renderings for the site, where construction has now begun.
When it comes to new development in Bushwick, most projects are only a few floors in height. But here and there, more appropriately-sized infill manages to find its way into existence, including at 301 Himrod Street. Developer MKF Group has been busy in Bushwick recently, with small residential projects underway on Linden Street, Willoughby Avenue and Bleecker Street. Now they’ve filed plans for their biggest development to date: a 12-story mixed-use building at 301 Himrod Street, between Wyckoff and Irving Avenues.
Bushwick has rebounded from decades of abandonment and disinvestment, and developers now flock to a corner of the neighborhood dotted with vacant lots: the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop on the L and M trains. And today, YIMBY has a look at a little five-story rental project under construction at 359 Linden Street, between Wyckoff and Myrtle Avenues.
