The tallest residential building actually in SoHo is approaching completion. The two-towered structure at 565 Broome Street will add 115 condominiums to the neighborhood, making it a substantial addition for the market. The North Penthouse recently sold for a whopping $40.5 million, while the $30 million Southern Penthouse is still on the market. For this article, YIMBY toured that penthouse to see the near-360 degree views. Bizzi & Partners Development, Aronov Development, and Halpern Real Estate Ventures are the developers.
New renderings, depicting the final design, are now available for the 25-story, 115-unit mixed-use building under development at 565 Broome Street (a.k.a. 100 Varick Street), in Hudson Square. The renderings come as sales have launched for the project’s condominiums. The latest building permits indicate the structure will eventually encompass 322,154 square feet and rise 290 feet above street level to its roof, which doesn’t include the bulkhead.
Over the summer summer, YIMBY partially revealed renderings for the planned 25-story, 115-unit residential building at 565 Broome Street (a.k.a 100 Varick Street), in Hudson Square. The developers have now secured a $320 million construction loan for the project, according to Crain’s, and Cindat (the U.S. branch of Beijing-based China Cinda Asset Management Co.) also acquired a $135 million stake in the project. The development team – SHVO, Bizzi & Partners Development, Halpern Real Estate Ventures, Aronov Development, and Itzhaki Acquisitions – recently acquired the two-story annex at 555 Broome for $9 million, completing the assemblage.
Construction has wrapped up at 331 East Houston Street, on the Lower East Side, where Halpern Real Estate Ventures has built a 13-story, 78-unit residential building, per EV Grieve. The building measures 57,560 square feet, which means units average 740 square feet, and 16 apartments are set aside as affordable.
