A rendering has been released for the proposed building at 2065-2067 Ryer Avenue, in the Fordham Heights neighborhood of The Bronx. The structure will command a significant presence in the up-and-coming neighborhood. It will be the tallest building on a block otherwise occupied by three and four-story apartment blocks. That said, the immediate surrounding area is filled with buildings of similar height, such as the one depicted in the right corner of the rendering. Permits have been filed for two new 12-story residential buildings in The Bronx’s Fordham Heights neighborhood. Manhattan-based UA Builders Group is developing the site, located at 2065 and 2067 Ryer Avenue, and the pair will be among the taller buildings in the area, which is mostly dominated by five and six-story apartment blocks. The site is four blocks from the Tremont Ave. and 182-183rd Street Subway Stations for the B and D trains.

New Three-Story, Three-Unit Residential Building Coming To 2088 Valentine Avenue, Fordham Heights

A Bronx-based property owner has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential project at 2088 Valentine Avenue, in the West Bronx’s Fordham Heights section. The building will measure 4,684 square feet and its full-floor residential units should average a family-sized 1,561 square feet apiece. The 18-foot-wide, 1,808-square-foot property is was occupied by a three-story townhouse until it was demolished back in April. It was demolished under emergency declaration due to a six-alarm fire that damaged the structure in late 2015. Anthony Hatziioannou’s Jericho, N.Y.-based architecture firm is the architect of record.
