With each passing day, the World Trade Center is getting closer to completion. At 3 World Trade Center, major progress has been made toward completion, and we now have new details on the Financial District’s latest outdoor terrace. Larry Silverstein’s Silverstein Properties partnered with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for the development.
New permits filed reveal a mixed-use, residential building at 228 Vanderbilt Avenue, in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Under development by Reuven Zulauf, Co-Founder of JV Capital Group, the function of the building will include seven residential units and a community facility.
Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 688 Flushing Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is two blocks away from the Flushing Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Jacalyn Michaels will be responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed for two four-story residential buildings at 256 and 258 Winthrop Street, in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. The site is just half a block away from the Winthrop Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. The next closest subway station, nine blocks away, is Parkside Avenue, serviced by the Q trains. Infinity Properties is behind the applications.
The redevelopment of Macy’s former footprint in Downtown Brooklyn is set to add a major new skyscraper to the Borough’s skyline. Renderings for 11 Hoyt Street are out, and it’s looking to make an impression. The 51-story condominium building is designed by the architecture and urban design firm Studio Gang, led by MacArthur Fellow Jeanne Gang. This project will be the Chicago-based firm’s first residential building in New York City.
