Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, the 88-story structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units and 25 floors of boutique office space. The project will also include ground-floor retail and an extensive collection of amenities. The property is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

At number 14 on our year-end countdown of the tallest construction projects in New York is 50 West 66th Street, a 775-foot-tall residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Snøhetta and developed by Extell and Tennor Holding, the 69-story structure will yield 127 condominium units. SLCE Architects is the executive architect for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West with frontage on both West 65th and West 66th Streets.

At number 17 on our year-end construction countdown is 70 Hudson Yards, a 717-foot-tall commercial skyscraper in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Designed by Roger Ferris + Partners and Gensler and developed by Related Companies and Oxford Properties, the 47-story structure is planned to become New York’s first zero-carbon emission skyscraper and will yield 1.1 million square feet of office space. The property is bounded by West 36th to the north, West 35th Street to the south, and Hudson Boulevard East to the west.

Demolition preparations are underway at 871 Seventh Avenue, the site of a 1,050-foot mixed-use supertall skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Extell, the 71-story structure will span 484,000 square feet and yield 130 condominium units with an average scope of 2,315 square feet, as well as a 159,000-square-foot hotel with 156 rooms. The project will also include 24,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a 55-vehicle parking garage. The skyscraper will replace the 26-story Wellington Hotel at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 55th Street.

Designed by Fogarty Finger and developed by Allstate Ventures, the structure yields 315 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts. The project is the third and final phase of Westchester Place, a three-building arts-focused development along with The Arc at 64 Centre Avenue, and The Atelier at 40 Westchester Place. The through-lot property is bounded by Westchester Place to the east and Huguenot Street to the west.
