Yesterday was a busy day for permits in the west central Bronx. First, plans were filed for a supportive housing development in Crotona Park East, and then new building applications surfaced for a seven-story market-rate project a few blocks north in West Farms.
After 50,000 tenants applied to live in the affordable apartments at Stagg Group’s first project in Norwood, Bedford Park Manor, the Bronx developer paid $4.1 million for a property only a few blocks north at 3084 Webster Avenue. Now they’ve filed plans to build an 11-story apartment building on the L-shaped lot between 202nd and 203rd Streets.
Dominick Mirable, doing business as Tre Amici Realty LLC, has filed applications for two four-story, multi-family residential buildings at 3034-3036 Barnes Avenue, in southern Williamsbridge, four blocks from the Barnes Avenue stop on the 2 and 5 trains. The development will contain 18 units spread across 12,914 square feet of space, which translates into an average apartment of 717 square feet. Mohammad Badaly’s Mount Vernon-based Badaly Architects is the applicant of record.
Mohammad Badaly, head of Mount Vernon-based Badaly Architects, has filed applications for a five-story, 13-unit mixed-use building at 3190 Riverdale Avenue, in Kingsbridge, five blocks from the 1 train’s stop at 231st Street. The building will measure 19,628 square feet in total, and will feature 4,657 square feet of heath care facilities on two below-grade levels. Residential units above will measure 1,150 square feet apiece, and the existing two-story house passed pre-demolition inspection this past July.
The Stagg Group has become one of the Bronx’s most prolific developers, with projects stretching from the East Bronx up to Riverdale. And their latest new building is now in the works at 3469 Cannon Place in Kingsbridge Heights, between the Jerome Park Reservoir and the Major Deegan Expressway.
