Developer SL Green has again partnered with Michelin-starred chef Daniel Bolud on a dining concept in Manhattan. This time, the venture will launch a European-style marketplace and a steakhouse at One Madison Avenue, a new Class A office building currently under construction in Manhattan’s Flatiron District.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 539 Vanderbilt Avenue, a 29-story residential tower at 550 Clinton Avenue in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Hope Street Capital, the structure yields 284 apartments and about 60,000 square feet of retail space. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 80 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $48,206 to $215,150.
YIMBY went on a tour of One Essex Crossing, a 14-story mixed-use building at 202 Broome Street and one component of the nine-building Essex Crossing development on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by CetraRuddy for Delancey Street Associates, a partnership of BFC Partners, L+M Development Partners, Taconic Partners, The Prusik Group, and Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group, the property yields residential and office space on a full-block parcel bound by Delancey Street to the north, Broome Street to the south, Suffolk Street to the east, and Norfolk Street to the west. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling marketing and sales for One Essex Crossing, which is approaching 50 percent sold.

VonDalwig Architecture has successfully petitioned the Landmarks Preservation Commission to permit the construction of a single-story penthouse expansion at 405 Vanderbilt Avenue in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Following feedback from the commissioners in the fall, the design team reduced the peak height of the volume’s sloped roof by almost two feet, selected a lighter-colored zinc façade, and raised the existing parapet and chimneys by three rows of brick.
