In May, YIMBY revealed partial renderings of Extell’s planned residential tower at 250 South Street, and at the time, DOB filings indicated it was to stand 56 stories, spanning 939,850 square feet. Now, according to DNAinfo, permits show a tower closer to the initially proposed building, standing 68 stories and 800 feet tall, and measuring 1,105,386 square feet. The project now includes 802 residential units, and 25,516 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

Adamson Associates is the architect of record, and the tower has been dubbed One Manhattan Square. The affordable portion of the project — a separate 13-story building connected at the base — will still have 205 residential units. Foundation work is underway, and completion is slated for 2019.

  1. Great development, but will there be any improvements to the F train to accommodate?
