Queens-based Talwinder Parmar is currently constructing a four-story, 46-key Comfort Inn hotel at 1766 East 49th Street, in southern Flatlands, on a vacant lot between Avenues N and O. The building will total 9,995 square feet, and rooms will average 217 square feet apiece. Jamaica-based Manish Savani is the architect of record. According to the Brooklyn Daily, local residents are concerned the hotel is being built to house homeless people through a city program. Applications were filed for the project late last year.
