Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 832 Monroe Street, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, one block away from the neighborhood’s border with Bushwick. The site is two blocks away from the Gates Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Great Neck-based property owner Rafael Reihanian will be responsible for the development.
The 44-foot tall structure will yield 7,080 square feet, with 4,912 square feet dedicated to residential use. Six apartments will be created, averaging 820 square feet apiece, which could mean condominiums or rentals. Tenants will have a laundry room and accessory storage in the cellar.
L & C Associates will be responsible for the design.
The project is located just a few doors down from another recently-filed residential development at 846 Monroe Street.
Foundational work and structure permits have been filed, though demolition permits have not yet been filed. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
