Located at the northern tip of the Judge Moses Weinstein Playground at the crossroads of Vleigh Place, 141st Street and 78th Avenue, a new four-story mixed-use building will soon rise at 77-63 Vleigh Place, in the Queens neighborhood of Flushing. The designer is Michael Vorland of Jarmel Kizel Architects, while the building is owned and being developed by Valeri Matatov of VP Capital Holdings LLC.
The new structure will stand 54-feet and contain 56,485 square feet of interior space divided into 18 residential units.
The project is located north of the Grand Central Parkway and to the east of the Van Wyck Expressway. It is surrounded by a mix of single family homes and low rise apartment buildings, while the baseball fields and playground at Judge Moses Weinstein Playground sit across the street from the site.
No announcement about the start of construction or a completion date has been announced yet. As of December 2017, the property has been cleared of the multiple one-story structures that once stretched the entire length of Vleigh Place between 77th Road and 78th Avenue.

Please pardon me for using your space: When I have to deal with your report. Now culture cause me to say: Thank you. (Hello YIMBY)
This is in the Kew Gardens Hills, not Flushing, neighborhood. Also, quick backstory, this follows a terrible fire last year that destroyed the entire assemblage of buildings where the building will rise. Great to see a quick recovery after such a disaster.
