Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 2321 Belmont Avenue, in Belmont, The Bronx. Located between East 183rd Street and Crescent Avenue, the interior site is five blocks west of the Bronx Zoo. Less than a mile north is the Fordham train stop on the MetroNorth, and the 182nd-183rd Streets Station is less than one mile to the west, serviced by the B and D trains. Golan Darvish of Belmont Ave 2321 Corporation is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The steel-based structure will yield 35,087 square feet, with 28,510 square feet of residential space, 941 square feet of commercial space, and 829 square feet for community facilities. The 69-foot tall structure will have 42 units, averaging 678 square feet a piece, an indicator these will most likely be rentals.

Sion Hourizadeh of Sion Associates is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in early November of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
