A new condominium development is on the rise at 170-22 Cedarcroft Road in Jamaica Estates, an upper-middle-class neighborhood Queens known for its stately homes and wooded streets. Designed by ARC Architecture + Design Studio, the property will eventually contain nine residences, a community garden, and parking accommodations for eight vehicles.

Renderings from the design studio reveal an understated, mixed-material façade of sand-colored brick, off-white, cementitious elements, and dark gray cladding. When complete, the new building will comprise just over 7,300 square feet of residential area. The development also includes an on-site community garden.

Neither Commerce Realty Group, the developer of the property, nor the ARC design team has published an anticipated date of completion.

  1. Who would buy/rent a condo in Jamaica estates when just a few blocks away at the subway you have so many homeless roaming the streets including the streets of Jamaica estates!

  2. • Like the way it appears to be set back a few feet from sidewalk
    • “Upper middle class” curious to know how you define that’s? What other hoods are upper v just middle.class?

  3. Can you promise me to report about new design, that you have made it with beautiful. I don’t mean this is not beautiful property, I expected to see such as stone column on the structure. It’s just my imagination. (Hello YIMBY)
