Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 188-11 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica Estates, Queens. Located between 188th Street and 189th Street, the lot is 11 blocks east of the Jamaica-179th Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. Piermont Properties under the 188-11 Hillside Partners LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 120,203 square feet, with 71,621 square feet designated for residential space and 847 square feet for community facilities. The building will have 93 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 770 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 67 enclosed parking spaces.
Victor Mirontschuk of EDI International is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in March of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
