Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 172-02 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Located at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and 172nd Street, the corner lot is a couple blocks from the 169th Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. Ben Kaftari under the Elanot LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 37,842 square feet, with 34,485 square feet designated for residential space and 3,357 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 28 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,231 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and 18 enclosed parking spaces.
Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in July 2018. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
