Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 2941 Brighton 5th Street in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Brighton 5th Lane and Brighton 5th Street, the corner lot is two blocks from the Brighton Beach subway station, serviced by the B and Q trains. Hagai Laniado is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 20,457 square feet, with 14,063 square feet designated for residential space and 6,394 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 21 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 669 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, a 25-foot-long rear yard, and 11 enclosed parking spaces.
Alix Michel of Citiscape Consulting LTD is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
