Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 72 Congress Street in Brooklyn’s Columbia Street Waterfront District neighborhood. The interior lot, also addressed as 76 Congress Street, is located between Columbia Street and Hicks Street. A short walk away is the Bergen Street subway station, serviced by the F and G trains. Shiraz Sanjana under the 76 Congress LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 16,303 square feet, with 12,898 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have ten residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,289 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, a 34-foot-long rear yard, and three enclosed parking spaces.

Francisco Nunez of Studio Gallos is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
