Full demolition permits have been filed for 27 West 136th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. According to the recent filing, the interior site is owned by NYC Health + Hospitals and part of the six-building Harlem Hospital complex. The one-story structure with a 19-foot-long lot frontage is a fraction of a combined 220,926 square feet that encompasses the entire block.
Demolition permits were also filed for the adjacent 22 West 137th Street and 21 West 136th Street in January 2020. Details have not been released on what NYC Health + Hospitals plans are for the neighboring lots.
27 West 136th Street is located between Lenox Avenue and Fifth Avenue, just a five-minute walk from the 135th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains.
