Construction is on pace to top out soon at 37 Sixth Avenue, a 26-story residential building in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Alternately addressed as 495 Dean Street and 664 Pacific Street, the project is designed by Marvel Architects and is being developed by the Brodsky Organization. The 343,788-square-foot structure is part of the Pacific Park mega project and will contain 323 rental units. The site is located between Dean Street and Pacific Street, directly across from Barclays Center and 18 Sixth Avenue, another residential project underway in the neighborhood.

Photographs from Tectonic show the degree of progress that has occurred since our last visit in April, when workers were only about four floors above grade. Now crews are forming the 21st floor, while metal frame studs and insulation boards can be spotted on the lower floors in preparation for the installation of the curtain wall.

A 616-seat, 69,858-square-foot public middle school will occupy the first five floors of the building and two floors below street level. The planned residential amenities include a gym, indoor and outdoor residential lounges, and a children’s playroom.

The 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, and W trains at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station are conveniently close to the property. Also nearby to the north are the A and C trains at the Lafayette Avenue station and the G train at Fulton Street, as well as the LIRR trains at Atlantic Terminal along Flatbush Avenue.

37 Sixth Avenue is slated to be finished in the fourth quarter of 2021, as noted on the construction fence.
