Permits have been filed for a ten-story residential building at 1499 Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of St. Johns Place and Bedford Avenue, the corner lot is two blocks from the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Cheskie Weiss of CW Realty is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 100-foot-tall development will yield 159,992 square feet, with 66,528 square feet designated for residential space and 882 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 98 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 678 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have 49 enclosed parking spaces.
Mohamed Mabrouk of MHM Engineering is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
