Exterior work is progressing on 28 & 7, a 12-story office building at 322-326 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Klövern AB and GDSNY, the structure will yield 105,000 square feet of commercial space leased by CBRE. Triton Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 28th Street.
New photographs show nearly all of the triple-glazed floor-to-ceiling windows installed on the southern and eastern elevations, while preparations are underway for the installation of the building’s signature black terra-cotta paneling. Portions of the edges of the concrete surfaces and floor plates have been painted black, and work above the main setback continues as well. Scaffolding rigs attached to columns of metal guide rails are helping to assemble the envelope, while the two hoists are placed on the northeastern corner of the building.
28 & 7 will feature mostly column-free work spaces with floor spans up to 40 feet and a 12th-floor penthouse surrounded by a panoramic garden terrace. Office amenities include ground-floor bike storage, showers, and changing stations.
The closest subway is the 1 train at the 28th Street Station, conveniently located directly in front of the building, while the 2, 3, A, C, E, NJ Transit, Long Island Railroad, and Amtrak trains are all nearby at Pennsylvania Station. The R and W trains are also a short walk away to the east at 28th Street and Broadway, as are the B, D, F, M, N, Q, and PATH trains at the 34th Street-Herald Square station to the northeast.
28 & 7 is planned to achieve LEED Silver and WELL certification and is estimated to complete construction toward the end of 2021.

Beautiful!
A touch of modern in an otherwise bland section of NYC. I hope a nice restaurant moves into the first floor for those of us that frequent Opera America at the northern most corner of this block.
This reminds me of the stellar Union Carbide Building. This Chelsea offering still stands.

Lovely. As always, SOM is the best of them all.
So strange they didnt just wedding cake this up an additional 4 or 5 floors. It would have looked even better.
I think Quomo the Dictator ought to get the hell out of office instead of giving himself raises. and when all politicians retire should have to pay their own health insurance like a real working man/women no more free rides
Was walking past it today. There’s no restaurant left north of FIT. Nothing.
Thank you Cuomo for the beautiful destruction of NYC.
And for blocking hydroxychloroquine for patients.
While Florida thrives.
