The affordable housing lottery has launched for 495 St. Johns Place, a seven-story residential building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The 23,059-square-foot development was developed by Candor Capital and yields 26 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are four units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $59,795 to $167,570.
Residential amenities include a gym, shared laundry room, recreation room, bike storage lockers, personal storage, virtual doorman, and rooftop terrace. The building will also have 13 enclosed parking spaces.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a $1,744 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $27,600 to $57,300; one one-bedroom with a $1,950 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $66,858 to $139,620; and two two-bedrooms with a $2,450 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $84,000 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 17, 2021.
