Leasing has launched at The West, a new residential building located at 144 West Street near the East River waterfront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The seven-story boutique structure is designed by GF55 Partners and developed by Caspi Development and Barone Management. Corcoran New Development is the exclusive leasing agent.
“144 West Street is prominently positioned in one of the most desirable and vibrant locations in Greenpoint, with superior access to Manhattan as well as the surrounding Williamsburg and Long Island City neighborhoods,” said Joshua Caspi, principal of Caspi Development.
The red-hued masonry development features 22 apartments with seven units set aside for affordable housing. Pricing for market rate residences starts at $3,035 for one-bedrooms and $4,000 for two-bedrooms.
Residential amenities include a package room, bike room, parking, an urban garden, lounge on the top floor overlooking the East River and Manhattan skyline, and a furnished roof deck. Units will have herringbone wood floors, Bosch cooktops and microwaves, Kohler fixtures, and select apartments will have private terraces.
The India Street landing for the East River Ferry is one block from The West. Also within walking distance is access to the G train at the Greenpoint Avenue subway station.
Move-ins are scheduled to begin in June 2021.

What’s the point of those weird mid-height fake muntins on the windows?
I would imagine the bottom sashes are operable and fixed above???
A nice simple, solid design is always appropriate.
Simple but tasteful.

Looks nice. I can’t find much to complain about (and I’m a complainer)
