Permits have been filed for a nine-story residential building at 488 Leonard Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located between Driggs Avenue and Engert Avenue, the lot is near the Nassau Avenue subway station, served by the G train. Steven Westreich of Westorchard Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 95-foot-tall development will yield 92,160 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 96 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 960 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 33-foot-long rear yard.
Joseph Frankl of JFA Architects & Eningeers DPC is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in June for the single-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
