The affordable housing lottery has launched for Sven, a 67-story mixed-use residential building at 2959 Northern Boulevard in Handel Architects and developed by The Durst Organization, the structure yields 958 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 288 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,229 to $192,400.
Residents will have access to a wide range of amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, a 20,000-square-foot fitness center with a yoga and dance studio, demonstration kitchen, a library, party room, media room, co-working areas, a children’s playroom, shared laundry room, laundry service, common area wifi, on-site resident manager, package lockers, and concierge. Units include name-brand appliances and finishes, air conditioning, hardwood floors, smart controls for heating and cooling, and washers and dryers. Rent includes electricity and gas for cooking purposes.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 50 studios with a monthly rent of $2,189 for incomes ranging from $75,052 to $124,150; 188 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,132 for incomes ranging from $73,098 to $139,620; one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,560 for incomes ranging from $87,772 to $167,570; 40 two bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,328 for incomes ranging from $114,103 to $167,570; and nine three-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,843 for incomes ranging from $131,760 to $192,400.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 21, 2022.
