Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 435 Coney Island Avenue on the border of Kensington and Flatbush in Brooklyn. Located between Caton and Church Avenues, the lot is near the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station, serviced by the F and G trains. Rogers Builders & Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 86-foot-tall development will yield 88,979 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 131 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 679 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 53 enclosed parking spaces.
NA Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed earlier this month for the single-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
