Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 953 Dean Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Classon Avenue and Franklin Avenue, the lot is near the Franklin Avenue subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Solomon Schwimmer of Twin Group Associates Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 95-foot-tall development will yield 164,763 square feet, with 162,556 square feet designated for residential space and 2,207 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 234 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 694 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 42-foot-long rear yard, and 88 enclosed parking spaces.
JFA Architects & Engineers is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed last month for the single-story industrial building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
