Permits have been filed for a ten-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 284 4th Avenue in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Located between Carroll Street and 1st Street, the lot is two blocks from the Union Street subway station, serviced by the R train. Francis Leung of FKAL Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 98-foot-tall development will yield 26,138 square feet, with 23,104 square feet designated for residential space and 3,034 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 33 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 700 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.
Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in March for the warehouse on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
