Construction has officially topped out on Valley National Bank’s new headquarters in Morristown, New Jersey. Designed by Gensler and developed in collaboration by SJP Properties and Scotto Properties, the building is located along Speedwell Avenue near Cattano Avenue and replaces several vacant commercial properties.
The façade will comprises a mix of red and gray brick, a punched window system, and a recessed band of floor-to-ceiling windows around the perimeter of the front elevation along Speedwell Avenue.
In an effort to support the health and wellness of occupants, the design team equipped the building with MERV-filtration and UV light purification systems that help reduce the presence of airborne pollutants and pathogens. The building also features digital light and heat controls, a solar-reflective roof, low-flow water fixtures, LED lighting fixtures, and smart energy metering systems.

“Thanks to the expertise of our team, accomplished project partners, and support from local leadership, we are one step closer to delivering a transformative office environment for Valley and its team of esteemed professionals,” said SJP Properties CEO Steve Pozycki. “Besides a variety of transit options and robust lifestyle amenities, Morristown offers an elevated quality of life that employers like Valley prioritize when selecting office locations that will appeal to current employees and prospective talent.”
The 120,000-square-foot property will accommodate a workforce of 660 professionals and is expected to achieve LEED certification. The ground floor will also house a 14,500-square-foot retail space for a new Valley banking branch that will be open to the public.
As of today, the building is on track to debut in spring 2023.

Huge improvement for that area of town. It was a bit of dead space at night. With the new 1776 by David Burke Restaurant and this new building brightening a previously dark block at night, the area will be much more inviting and should bring additional traffic to local restaurants.
