Construction crews have nearly completed façade installation on 98-08 Queens Boulevard, a forthcoming mixed-use tower in Rego Park, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by RB Realty Capital, the 344,000-square-foot building will contain 186 rental apartments, residential amenity spaces, 53,000 square feet of retail, a 41,000-square-foot community facility, and an 82,000-square-foot parking garage.
The massing of the structure features a six-story podium and a 22-story tower at the western edge of the property. The façade incorporates a mix of materials, including gray cementitious cladding at the podium levels and a reflective glass curtain wall for the tower.
Apartments will range from studios up to two-bedroom floor plans. Amenities will include a roof deck, a fitness center, a yoga room, and a communal lounge.
When first announced in December 2021, 30 percent of available apartments were set to be marketed as affordable housing units. It is unclear if that number has changed and how deeply affordable those units will be.
NY Developers and Management has served as general contractor for the property. Construction is expected to conclude by the end of this year.
