Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 291 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Classon and Franklin Avenues, the lot is one block north of the Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Marc Chemtob of Renaissance Realty Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 52,737 square feet, with 51,359 square feet designated for residential space and 1,378 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 76 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 675 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have two cellar levels, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 40 enclosed parking spaces.

Demolition permits were filed in November 2022. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. why are there 40 parking spots if it’s on top of one of the busiest subway stations in brooklyn. christ we need to end parking minimums in this city.

  4. that realty group if iam correct, is on the worst landlord watch list, that was under fish James public advocate, at that time, hmmm,iam pretty sure in that gentrifying parts of crown heights, those apartments will be market rate, or affordable apartments which mean close to market rate, Eric Adams 500,000 moon shot AFFORDABLE HOUSING PLAN
