Permits have been filed for a 25-story mixed-use building at 150 Lawrence Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Located between Fulton Street and Willoughby Street, the lot is one block from the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station, serviced by the A, C, F, and R trains. Solomon Schwimmer of Twin Group Associates is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 250-foot-tall development will yield 82,366 square feet, with 74,164 square feet designated for residential space and 8,201 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 101 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 734 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, basement, and a 32-foot-long rear yard.

JFA Architects and Engineers is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in May for the four-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Hey JFA Architects, it’s really no trouble to replicate the historic building facade your taking money to destroy. Downtown Brooklyn will soon look like LIC or Houston and then, what’s the point?

    • It already does look LIC. It’s one of my least favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

    • It’s not the architect’s decision. And they’re not paying for it.

    • another historic facade about to be demolished in the name of GREED.
Why wouldn’t Solomon Schwimmer of Twin Group Associates is listed as the owner readapt the facade into the new building?!

  2. And the destruction of small business keeps going. Look at the new development with empty spaces..
