Construction is nearing completion on Journal Square Urby, a 25-story residential tower at 575 Pavonia Avenue in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by HLW Architects and Concrete and developed by Urby, Panepinto Properties, and Kimmel, the 265-foot-tall structure will yield 317 units in studio to three-bedroom layouts and access to a public cafe through the lobby. Leasing for the property is set to commence in June.
Amenities will include indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a roof-level swimming pool deck with a dog run, and a fitness center with a yoga studio. In addition, residents will have access to bicycle storage in the basement.
Journal Square Urby features a mural by Argentinian-Spanish artist Felipe Pantone. The mural is Pantone’s largest to date, and spans the entirety of the tower’s southern elevation.
“We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming leasing launch for the latest expansion of the Urby brand,” said David Barry, Urby’s founder and CEO. “This boutique residential building will seamlessly integrate into the fabric of the culturally rich and well-connected Journal Square neighborhood while providing residents with modern living spaces and engaging social environments.”
The development is located steps from the Journal Square PATH Station, offering easy access into Lower Manhattan.

It is very large and can be seen far away, will passengers on the plane look down and see? Thanks.
It’s like one building wrapping another, wrapped in a cosmic mural emanating from the church below. It’s kind of all a mess.
That is one hideous mural. And the faux 1955 office tower that forms the central element is no charmer, either.
Is it just me or is this sort of 8-bit vaporwave aesthetic kind of ten years ago already?
