New permits have been filed for a 24-story mixed-use building at 94-15 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. Located between 94th and 95th Avenues, the lot is close to the Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue-JFK Airport subway station, serviced by the E, J, and Z trains. Joel Weiss of Heartfelt Townhouse Build is listed as the owner behind the applications, who previously filed permits for a 13-story structure with 238 units on the same lot.
The proposed 254-foot-tall development will yield 720,248 square feet, with 711,007 square feet designated for residential space and 9,241 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 524 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,356 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 338 enclosed parking spaces.
JFA Architects & Engineers is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Jamaica could easily become the next DT Brooklyn or LIC building boom with new housing towers.
Would love to see a skyline breakthrough tower in Jamaica. Most of these new towers of the last 10 years are all around the same height and quite fat. A nice 400+ footer or two would look great.
