BRP Companies Celebrates Grand Opening of The Monarch in Jamaica, Queens

Last week BRP Companies, public officials, and project partners celebrated the grand opening of The Monarch at 92-29 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. The 25-story mixed-use building brings 605 mixed-income residences to the downtown neighborhood, along with 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art amenity spaces and 14,000 square feet of retail space to the community.

“As we unveil our third major development in Jamaica, we are proud to continue to contribute to the neighborhood’s vibrant culture and growth trajectory,” said Meredith Marshall, co-founder and managing partner of BRP Companies. “Through the creation of a much-needed workforce housing offering to the heart of Jamaica’s downtown, The Monarch will have an overwhelmingly positive impact on the community and we’re excited to be celebrating its opening.”

Residences come in a mix of one- and two-bedroom layouts, all equipped with in-unit washers and dryers, energy-efficient stainless-steel appliances, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Amenity spaces include indoor basketball and pickleball courts, a golf simulator, a fitness center and yoga studio, a resident lounge, a conference room and movie room, a children’s playroom, a dog run and pet spa, sky lounge, multiple outdoor terraces including an amphitheater, on-site bike storage, and 231 parking spaces.

The developers, as well as the Department of Transportation, New York City Transit Authority, and the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation are also responsible for a series of four murals along the Long Island Rail Road retaining wall across the street from The Monarch. The murals span nearly 291 linear feet features several New York City-based artists.

The Monarch is located within walking distance of Jamaica Terminal, with service to the E, J, and Z trains, the Long Island Rail Road, and AirTrain to JFK Airport.
